Use cases

Four ways to use live face swap

From party tricks to on-camera content, a new face opens up a new way to show up.

Role play and cosplay

Set an anime hero, game character or film look as your reference, and the character moves the moment you blink or turn your head. No makeup, no props, in character in seconds.

Short videos and talking-head clips

Record the AI output for voiceovers, skits or reaction videos. Switch the reference photo and you have a new character, so one person can play every role with no frame-by-frame face fixes afterwards.

Faceless streaming

Want to be on camera without showing your real face? Let live face swap put an AI character in your stream while your own expressions and lip movement drive it live, so viewers see a character that talks and laughs with you.

Parties and group fun

Point the camera at your friends and take turns becoming cartoon characters, vintage movie stars or pets. Every screenshot and recording is a keeper. Ask first before using someone else's likeness.

How it works

How live face swap works

Your camera feed goes to a cloud AI model and comes back as a new video, frame by frame, while you move.

  1. 01

    Your camera captures the video

Your webcam feed and the reference photo you picked stream from the browser to our cloud. We don't record it: the video is only used to generate the live result you see.

  2. 02

Cloud AI performs the face swap

A real-time model running on cloud GPUs replaces your character with the one in the reference photo while keeping your expressions, gaze and head movement.

  3. 03

The AI video appears on your screen

The generated video streams straight back to your browser and plays next to your camera preview, moving the moment you do.

Which to use

Try it on the web, take it live with the app

Both run the same LiveSwapFace cloud engine. The difference is where the AI video goes: it stays in your browser tab, or it becomes a system camera other apps can use.

Web

Open it in the browser on your computer or phone. The AI video plays in the page, which suits trying looks, screen recording and quick sessions.

  • 100 free seconds when you sign up
  • Billed per second, camera preview is free
  • No recording, no saved face images

Desktop App

Installing it adds a virtual camera to your system. Pick it in OBS, Zoom, Discord and similar apps, and everyone sees the AI video.

  • A real camera source, no window capture
  • Select it directly in OBS, Zoom, Discord and more
  • Set up once, use it in every app

Runs in the browser on your computer or phone. The model runs in the cloud.
